Day 1 – Arrival. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Breakfast. Our day starts in the morning as we meet the guide that will accompany us throughout our trip. Having checked our only “mandatory” equipment for the day – wellies – we shall drive to Varaždin for sightseeing. Between April and October we shall have the opportunity to visit the square where traditional crafts are plied, such as weaving and hat making, and we can even try to “mint” a medallion. Lunch. After lunch we shall proceed to the river where gold panners will be awaiting us. We shall see a demonstration of panning and then have a go at it ourselves: scoop, pan for gold and sweat, and laugh our hearts out. If we have the luck to find a nugget, you can keep it, while gold dust will be left to the panners. After the search, richer if anything for another nice experience, we shall return to the hotel. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 3 - Breakfast.Departure for Trakošćan, the most beautiful castle in Croatia. After the visit to the castle, we shall drive on to Krapina to visit the Museum of the Krapina Neanderthal Man and walk to the archaeological paleolithic site on the hill of Hušnjakovo Brdo. After lunch our next stop is the “Old Village” at Kumrovec. We shall walk through the village to see the special style of home building used at the turn of the 20th century. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 4 - Breakfast. Departure for Zagreb. In the bus we shall split into subgroups for the segway tour, the tour with the guide in costume and the bike tour. After the visit and some free time we shall leave for Istria. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Breakfast. Meeting in the morning and departure for Pula. A guide will meet us there for a sightseeing tour of the town and its monuments such as the Amphitheatre, the Temple of Augustus and others. Lunch and free time to explore the town and buy souvenirs. Departure for the Baredine Cave, the first speleological locality in Istria opened for tourists. Accompanied by a guide we shall visit the underground world and its most famous inhabitant – the olm or proteus (Proteus anguinus, or the “human fish” as locals call it) – a small, rare endemic animal which lives in underground karst caves. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 6 - Breakfast. Today our programme includes a boat tour. We will sail from Poreč and enjoy the view of the coast, from the  Lim Canal and Vrsar to Rovinj. Lunch will be served on the boat – grilled fish or meat, or vegetarian food, at your own choice. Enjoy the view, walk along the town streets or go swimming. Don’t forget to take along your sunglasses, a sunbathing cream, a hat – and a cheerful mood! Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 7 - Breakfast. The day starts with sightseeing in Poreč (the Euphrasius Basilica, remains of two temples, the Romanesque House, etc.) After sightseeing we shall visit the best known producer of wine, olive oil and cheese in Istria. We shall get a briefing on how wine and oil  are produced, visit the barrique cellars and taste products. You will still have some time for exploration at your own leisure or simply idling on the beach. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 8 - Breakfast. As we take leave, we look forward to seeing you again on one of our tours.
