English – Routes in Istria
Route 1 – Wine, Panoramas and Gourmet Experiences (Northwest Istria)
Start in Porec → Tar → Kastelir → Vizinada → Motovun → Groznjan → Buje
Experience one of the most beautiful panoramic routes in Istria. From the gentle hills around Tar and Kastelir, the ride leads to Vizinada with stunning views over the Mirna Valley. This region is known for top wineries producing Malvasia and Teran.
Continue to Motovun, one of the most famous medieval towns in Istria, and Groznjan – the town of artists. Along the route, you will find excellent taverns and restaurants with local specialties and truffle dishes.
Route 2 – Olive Oil, Coast and Mediterranean Charm (West and South Istria)
Start in Porec → Rovinj → Bale → Vodnjan → Fazana → Pula → Return along the coast
This route combines the best of gastronomy and the coast. Start in Rovinj with a walk through the romantic old town. Continue inland to Bale and Vodnjan, famous for some of the best olive oils in Europe.
In Fazana enjoy the view of the Brijuni National Park, before visiting Pula with its impressive Roman amphitheater. Perfect for a day of enjoyment, history and sea.
Route 3 – Authentic Istria and Cultural Heritage (Central Istria)
Start in Porec → Vizinada → Pazin → Hum → Motovun → Return to Porec
Discover the peaceful and authentic heart of Istria. This route takes you through idyllic landscapes inland. Visit Pazin with its spectacular castle above the gorge, and Hum – the smallest town in the world.
Along the way, explore traditional villages, local producers and cozy taverns serving homemade specialties. End the route in Motovun with an unforgettable sunset over the Mirna Valley.
